Owner Manager: Emma Chapman
In 1986 Emma got her first pony; the beginning of a life-long relationship with equines, enjoying regular weekly classes, from 1991 under the guidance of Jeanette Butcher; Emma's mentor.
Competing from a young age and finding an interest in eventing at Pony Club and Riding Club level. At the age of 15 Emma had tuition with respected international trainer Ruth McMullen in Norfolk and later became a working pupil with her own horse training on site.
Emma studied at the Cambridgeshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture, gaining her Nationall Certificate in the Management of Horses. Additionally becoming a qualified instructor in 1997-98, gaining her BHS.PT qualification (the only student on this course to do so).
With the help the Princess Trust Emma, and her family setup Apollo Stables in 2000. Named after her Pony Club partner-pony Apollo Himself to help young and old riders experience the fun world of riding. The official opening was conducted by Jeanette Butcher on 22nd February 2001.
In 2003 Emma piloted the Equine Outreach Scheme with the College of West Anglia to train students at Apollo Stables with a 100% pass rate. Emma became an NVQ Assesor in 2006/7, further enhancing her credentials in 2008 by training for and gaiing a BHS Stage 4 Horse Car qualification and becoming a B.H.S.A.I., INT, SM (British Horse Society Assitant Instructor plus Intermediate Stable Manager).
Living in Lakenheath from the age from 1 Emma has been at the center of horse riding in the local area almost her entire life.
Friendly, outgoing and passionate about horses and ponies.
Her family are all supportive of Emma and Apollo Stables, and you will find this family run equestrian centre very people friendly.

Specializing in a high standard of horse care Theresa looks after all of our ponies, horses and retired ponies.
Theresa has a keen interest in teaching adults and children, able to build raport easily. Incorporating in to her teaching a lot of mounted games for fun and learning.
Theresa has been with Apollo Stables for 10 years, in this time she has gained a reputation for being an amazing tutor and mentor; famous for being fun and friendly.
Theresa loves taking the horses and children out for hacks in the countryside.
